Is it free and is my data safe ?

We offer a 100% free system for small users with less than 50 appointments per month and 1 plugin*
However if users pass this limit they can select a beginner pack that costs only $8 per month.

Now let’s  think for a moment … what happens if a system is free for all, all the time, with no limits ? Obviously there will be no development, there will be no team behind the project and you will at some point in time find a message in your inbox informing you that you are going to have to search for another system because this one is closing down or even worse, you will just find out one day that the system has already gone down. Some systems can launch and stay free while they spend their investors money, but when those funds dry up (and they tend to do so quickly), the solution will disappear from the net or there will appear a new price list.

We are here for the long term. We are debt free, profitable and with the main goal to provide you with an outstanding booking system and new developments that help you to get more business and more revenues. Security is important and we do regular backups and run several servers that can be used if one goes down. We also always have 3 employees that can access our servers in case of emergencies to minimize the risk of the system going down or staying down.

We have private hosted servers in Canada in a large secure data center, with ISO 27001 security certificate. They have high fences with barbed wires around the centers, 24h video surveillance and strict access codes to the buildings that host servers. Only certain people are allowed inside the centers themselves. They have multiple lines into the center in case one breaks.

We want “small” users and those starting a new business to be able to have access to a good free and secure system and instead spread the word about us. However, when businesses are big enough and have grown out of the free plan, we  charge VERY modest fees. Our price schedule is shown here below and remark that users can select to pay for one month, 3 months, or 6 months in advance. Please click on the image to make it large.

*Our free system includes 50 bookings per month, and you can select any of our many plugins to enhance your system. Thousands of our users are using the free system although many prefer the paid option to get access to more bookings and to more plugins. Once upgraded to paid system, it is not possible to downgrade back to free system.

    Hello,

    I have just registered for your service and considering upgrading to the advanced package, is there a reason why the advanced package does not have “automatic SMS” compared with all the other packages?

      The advance package also allows for SMS messages like the other packages but in all cases the SMS messages are sold as credits in Tariffs // Packs.

    I don’t understand the answer to the question above.
    I had the same question, but the reply is so nefarious to me.
    In the chart, the advanced version is the only one without AUTOMATIC sms. Why?
    What does that mean in it’s workings? A need for manual reminding?
    I was almost ready to register, but that put me off.

      All of the paid subscription packages are SMS enabled and in all of them SMS can be used. In fact in our opinion SMS as reminders and confirmation are not only useful for your clients, but will with certainty increase the bottom line because of even less no-shows. Our price table could definitely be clearer in this perspective if people are thinking that SMS messages are not allowed.

      This is not as clear as it should be in our price table … in all our subscriptions, SMS are allowed to be purchased as packs as we consider them very important for our users and their client’s satisfaction.

    With regards to the Iframe link being removed. Does this apply to all links back to simplybook. Me. I.e emails , texts, booking form etc will have no reference to simplybook.me?

      If emails should origin from our users, they need to supply smtp servers but otherwisw they will have no reply address form simplybook.me

      It is very simple to translate this to ANY language in the world. The custom translation module is within the admin interface so anyone can do this.

    Hi,
    I have been waiting to introduce this to my clients but I have been waiting on a response from my last comment that is still under moderation.

    Does it 100% stay free as long as I stay under 50 appointments on a continual basis?

      As long as they are under 50 bookings and 1 plugin it is free. This works for all small performers and lots of start-ups :)

    The FREE version is the best FREE version available. After testing all the booking systems I could find, Bookfresh.com and SimplyBook.me rise to the top every time. But Simplybook.me ended up winning based on their willingness to offer a free version that actually provides substance and lower monthly cost when you decide you need just that little bit more.

    Only thing Id like to see now is the use of the built client address information (I go onsite they don’t come to me) instead of having to use the Additional Fields plug-in and Id like Outlook Sync support so I can drop the simplybook.me > google calendar > outlook > google > simplybook.me updating to get my Windows Phone to add to my calendar.

      Thank you for your kind words, we always intended to have a REAL free version that actually is usable so it is good to hear that we proved better than others in this aspect. We are constantly adding new things and Outlook will for sure be added.

      The cost is the same for UK although sending SMS in UK is quite expensive and often even a bit more expensive than they cost us.

      It is about 4 eur cents in Slovenie per SMS and yes, it works fine to send sms there as in most other countries.

      It costs the same for all countries and ranges from about 3 cents to about 10 cents. US, Canada etc are cheapest while many european countries have expensive telecom providers and cost more. I need country name to give exact price.

      Yes, we do not use a free SMS provider, and SMS are included in your phone subscription, and can not be used for mass sending reminder SMS to clients unfortunately.

    My inquiry regards to the SMS services. Out of all the packages, only ‘the big one’ has credit balance for SMS and the rest is indicated as ‘none’. SMS/Text messages are bought separetely in Tariffs // Packs section.

    My question is, how does the automatic SMS service works for the other packages? Let’s say that I will buy he advance package, does it means that I still need to buy some credits for the SMSs automatic service in order to have it running? I am currently using it for my Barbershop in Macau on the free service, can you give me an example of how much will it cost me for having this SMSs service?

    And let’s say, if my SMS credit runs out, what will happen?

      When credits run out you will be notified. You can buy only SMS even in free subscription. Price per SMS is approx 0.03 Eur

    Ok, so the free subscription doesn’t send out text reminders UNLESS I purchase the packs? Correct? So if I purchase lets say 200 text messages, is that 200 text per month for the entire year or is that 200 total and when they run out I need to buy more?

      Hi, I’ve been a user for some time time now.

      Two things that are quite important that I have learnt since using it that are good to know:

      1. None of the packages have free SMS’ included. You need to buy the SMS packs on top of anything you buy. This is for EVERY level even the most expensive one.

      2. Once you go from the FREE one to a PAID subscription you CANNOT go back to free when you don’t need extra etc. The option to click on the FREE one dissapears.

      All in all, I would definitely recommend the booking system to small to medium businesses (excluding restaurants)

    can this site be used to have multiple people offering the same service but with different schedules.

    And then clients being able to access different peoples schedules and book online? The time slot would also be variable and dependant on client?

      Yes, you can create many providers where each has own work hours, they can have own services related to them with different duration than services related to other providers.

    Question 1 : Does your booking system automatically delist the date or time or show that it is not available when it is booked? i.e. if 10am slot is booked, will it automatically not display to new customer that’s trying to make a new booking?

    Question 2 : Are we allowed to embed your booking system into our existing website?

    Question 3 : I would also like my customer to make payment online when they click on the Submit Booking button. So far I have not seen it on your demo site.

    For all the above 3 questions, please advise if the free account allow those features I am looking for. If not, I would need your advise on which package serves those purpose?

      Yes, if you set your provider able to serve only one client at same time, this slot/availability will disappear.

      Question 2 : Are we allowed to embed your booking system into our existing website?

      Yes, you can imbed iFrame widget, buton widget, contact and booking widget as well as accept bookings on your FB fanpage.

      Question 3 : I would also like my customer to make payment online when they click on the Submit Booking button. So far I have not seen it on your demo site.

      You need to activate Payment plugin and set it up as well as set price for your service to accept payments.

      For all the above 3 questions, please advise if the free account allow those features I am looking for. If not, I would need your advise on which package serves those purpose?

      The Free account allows 1 plugin and 50 bookings per month, so if you only use the payment plugin, you are in free system. If not possibly the Beginner system that allows 4 plugins and 120 bookings will suit you and that only costs $8 per month.

    Question: the testing service I work for, would only need a subscription for 6 months, the next 6 months there are not any classes so no bookings. So if we were to do a 6 month subscription, Nov – April, and then not renew because we won’t need it from May – October, but would again need it again Nov – April after that, does the account get deleted where we would have to start over from scratch after the 6 months off or would it stay available just not active? Thanks.

      If you pay the 6 months, you can leave the system unattended and then just restart 6 months later. Once system are paid for, they will not get deleted unless the user sends a special request for it, even if subscription expires.

      We have plenty of reports and more are coming with our upgrade, planned next Monday. However, we do not have anything to keep track of tips.

    we are a tourism company that needs to schedule based on number of days – i.e. Start Date, End Date. Does your service offer this functionality? Also does your system integrate with SquareSpace and PayPal? thanks.

      We do integrate with Squarespace and Paypal but we do not have start and end date. All services have a definite duration which is pre-set. You probably need a system that is more built up like hotel bookings or car rentals.

    i have a directory with many different therapists. can your system provide a therapist-specific schedule on each therapist’s profile?

    and does your scheduling solution provide an option to charge the customer upon scheduling?

    I am a startup business so I am considering the FREE option initially until I get over 50 bookings a month. I am wanting clients to ‘pay upfront’ once they schedule their appointment using a payment plugin. I also need the “book now ‘plugin’ and probably a plugin that ‘contacts clients’ a few days after their first appointment. So in total that would be the FREE version with 3 plugins. Do I still qualify for the FREE version if I require 3 plugins?

      We do not have anything called “book now” plugin but book now plugins like widgets, and buttons etc are included in free version.

      You can the probably wait with the Book soon plugin for automatic reminders to get clients to book again till you grow bit more and upgrade to basic version.

    HI , I run a spa at various events in the UK.
    For 1 or 2 events, I need a booking system that can handle 20 different services and staff and over 1000 bookings over a weekend. At other events it will be less than 50 bookings. Can I swing between FREE and GOLD?

      You can buy Gold for 1 month, and then you can maintain the subscription on Basic subscription. Or you can create one Gold system for one month, and then discard it and create a free system for rest of time. After upgrade to Gold, then that system can no longer become Free again.

    Is there any API call to access the database ?

    I would like to add customers manually in your system and then somehow create that customer in my database so I can service them in my system which is a parallel biz to the new one using your appointment software.

    Also, as I’m looking at a customer profile in yours, a button that opens an iFrame to a page in mine showing his/her info.

      In this case you as company will possibly have several different time zones which is problematic. In our system the clients can be in different time zones but problem arises if providers are also in different time zones :O If the states are in same time zone this should not be problem and you can create the states as locations.

    I anticipate 400 appointments per month. Does your qoted number of reservations mean per month? In other words, does gold level allow 1000 reservations per month?
